Which Gnutella clients for Windows you like most?

I just ckecked back to the Shareaza Website and saw, that their marketing seems to have grown better. they stopped calling gnutella "gnutella1" and I didn't see them calling it legacy or outdated on the two pages I browsed. In short: On the first two pages the name "gnutella2" bugs me, but they stopped smiting gnutella (which made me far more angry, than just the name).

If I had a PC, they might get me to use it actively. Maybe I'll advise others to use it. I'll have to test it on my Virtual PC first, though.

i went to www.limewire.org and i cant find the code that says Morpheus has been banned by Limewire u talk total crap! when i search with Morpheus how comes i see limewire results

Ok again its time for a new updated poll.

The old poll is here:

I m new on gnutella. What does mean the Quality Parameter i saw in LimeWare? is it may be the number of gnutella nodes connected?

If you download from me: Yes. I only rarely allow freeloaders (same with Acquisition).
For others: I'm not sure how people set up their client. Acquisition warns on second startup, if the User doesn't share, that sharing enhances their download experience.

I'd hate to be queuing up with Shareaza for a file to dwnld. lol From what I've seen it's a queue jumper or should I say, it literally pushes all others out of the way (off the queue) to get to the top of the queue. In primary school, I think we had a name for those types of characters. Certainly not very sociable on the p2p network. Such a friendly p2p app. I also can't ever remember having been able to dwnld from a Shareaza app. which suggests its name is somewhat out of place (share...share what!???) Steal & steal band frequency I think. Ah how could I be so hard! When 2 apps mediate/communicate b/w each other, they should do it in a communal way. Not I take, I take, I take ... (My Shareaza anim went wrong & I'm too tired to fix it up. blert)

My favorite is Limewire pro..

I have tested Shareaza, bearshare, frostwire and mopheus also..But Limewire pro is far better then all the others together.. In my opinion!

I don't ignore the in-fightings, because they might have a foundation, which can be rather important in a shared network.

If every client had its own network, the in-fightings would be really insignificant. But in a collaborative network like gnutella I choose my client by looking which one is best for the network.

Informations from friends allow me to choose more informed. Did you know there is a Gnutella-Client for the RISC-OS?

Its programmer just contacted me, after I posted gnufu.net in the_gdf.

Shareaza is not a leech to Gnutella because if it doesn't connect to Gnutella it doesn't download from Gnutella. But it's not a good servent anyway because it is overloaded too quickly.

Shareaza cant push others off the queue, its impossible.

If thats what seems to happen to you, then perhaps you should explain whatexact happens. Im a long time Shareaza user and know the program inside out.

Is TrustyFiles. It does have alot of negatives (very persistant popup ads - my poor adwatch is exhausted), and it went through a period of time when it kept closing after opening, then suddenly cured itself. The positive is that it connects to 4 Gnutella networks (Bearshare, Emule, and 2 others), and I was able to find things I couldn't find anywhere else.
