Which games should i buy with the PS3??

I am buying a PS3 by the end of this month!
I wanted to know which games i should buy with it!
The games should be available in India!
 
if u want a beat em up i recommend virtual fighter 5. if u want a gd shooter game i recommend Kayne and lynch and call of duty 4, and a Gd game in general is resistance. the best game u could get is GTA 4 which is out in a month
 
In North America this is a good month to get a PS3. I don't have one (have a 360) but I may get one down the road, depending on exclusive games. Since I'm not Indian, it's hard for me to say what games will be available there. I looked it up online, but couldn't find much info. Everything seems to go by America, Australia, Europe, and Japan, so it would fall into one of these groups. I'll answer assuming Europe unless someone else knows what schedule Indian games are released by. It depends on what kind of games you like.

Below are some of the best games available with links to reviews (unless they are not out yet). I own Call of Duty 4 and would recommend that if you enjoy shooters (and even if you don't, maybe). It is simply one of the best games ever made, exciting and fun, plus has online element for multi-player.

If you have friends over often and like rock music, Rock Band is incredibly fun! But the game bundle (with instruments) costs 4x what a game normally does.

Uncharted is an Indiana Jones type adventure that has been getting rave reviews, and I'd definitely want that game on PS3. It is also exclusive to PS3. If you play alone this might be the way to go.

Grand Theft Auto IV is coming out this very month and if you enjoy the other games in the series, this one will probably exceed them all. I will probably get this for my 360 next month.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming this summer, meaning there will be a wait for it. Still, this is one of the top-anticipated releases on the PS3 (the other being Final Fantasy XIII). I would definitely think this one would be worth getting. I like the Metal Gear games, though Call of Duty 4 has a storyline that has brought the series closer to the depth of MGS.

There are no real good JRPG games available, but if you like American style RPGs, there is Oblivion. I have it for 360 and is one of my favorites.

Ultimately, I'd get CoD4 but if you don't like shooters, I'd probably go for GTAIV or Uncharted. CoD4 is just an amazing game. If you are into RPGs, get Oblivion, especially because you can play the game FOREVER! I've barely scratched the surface on it.

A list of my thoughts:

For a massive rpg Oblivion is the best bet, game of the year edition.

For a good thriller, hack and slash, god of war feeling type, definitely Heavenly Sword. The storyline is amazing and the gameplay is just as unique. Like God of War, but with a little more of a Mortal Kombat to it.

For racing the new Gran Turismo will be coming, and then theres the old Need For Speed kinda feeling. Burnout is cool but paradise is disappointing because of the not being able to restart option.

Call Of Duty 4 for a shooter, Rainbow Six Vegas was cool too, and if you liked it enough, RSV2 will be coming out shortly.

Sports, theres Madden 08 and the new MLB 08 The Show.
And last but not least a big thing coming up that I cannot wait for, pre ordered already on April 29th, Grand Theft Auto IV, nothing more needs to be said to its awesomeness.

I have around 12 games and my favorite is Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition, just because of all the possibilities, amount of quests, beautiful graphics, its just crazy. The load times can be a pain though.
