Which films had one sequel too many?

But I have to say that police accadamy, and nighmare on elm street. are the most over done movies ever. The thing is, wes craven's new nightmare, was actulay quite good imo.

Austin powers.

International Man of Mystery. In my opinion fantastic (One og my favurite films)

The Spy Who Shagged Me. Very good!

Goldmember. Terrible! Only good scenes was that sharks with laser beams attached to their heaRAB scene and the subsequent this place is too crowded scene

  • The Matrix - great concept, but the 2 & 3 tied themselves up in knots. I live the Will Ferrell/Justin Timberlake/ Seann Scott Williams parody of the Architect scene though
  • Pirates of the Caribbean - first was excellent fun. 2 & 3....WTF?!
  • Indy4 (why!!!!????)
  • Home Alone 3 & 4
  • American Pie (3 was pushing it, but now "Presents"....come on!!!!)

Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse...wasn't one sequel too many, it was three films too many!

Oh and MI (I really cannot stand Tom Cruise at all...he actually makes me feel physically ill)

I agree about the Final Destination franchise, the 3D one I saw a while back was awful!!
Step Up - 2 were more than enough then they released a third which was panned, pointless franchise!
SAW Movies - Even though I am big fan of these movies but I do think it should have ended at 3, 4 and 5 weren't that good even though 6 was an improvement...On the whole, I'm glad they are finishing the franchise and bringing it to a close!
The Ring (Remake) was really good as a stand alone movie, but part 2 was rubbish and I read they are make a 3rd movie in 3D, Samara will be popping out of screens at a cinema near us soon
