Which film has had the most sequels?

You know, you don't mind the odd remake but when say Friday The 13th has got to part 57 or whatever it is it's on now, don't you think Jason has been beheaded, burnt, drowned, sliced in two enough times over for the audience to start thinking ... hmm, maybe he should be feeling the brunt of all that by now.

this will be part 11 - even without counting Freddy V Jason. Micheal Bay is involved!

Halloween = 8 (also remake on its way - making 9 - depending on how u see it)
Freddy = 7 (excluding Freddy V Jason)
 
Carry on is in the late 20's .Bond is at 21 .I believe that some Mexican film series are in the 40's.Sorry can't remember the names but a think they were about a masked wrestler.
 
Hellraiser has 8 sequels, and another one in production for 2008 (but it is a remake) so that would be 10 films i think..

Not Sequels but there are 33 films in the national lampoon franchise
