which film are they on about?

I rented 28 days later at the weekend and I noticed on the cover of the rental that it said "the best British horror film in 30 years". That got me thinking which film are they on about, any idea's anyone?

I found Cannon & Balls 'boys in blue' disturbing but somehow I don't think they meant that one.
 
I remember going to watch a movie called "Beyond Bedlam" - I think Liz Hurley was in it.

The review of it said "The Best British Horror Since Hellraiser".

Hellraiser was 1987 if I remember rightly.

BTW Beyond Bedlam was shockingly bad. I believe ITV did a series of Paranormal thrillers a few years ago and one of them was an adaptation of Beyond Bedlam. I think Leslie Grantham was in it.
 
Horror films I feel are much more dramatic the younger you are. You get immune to the stuff as you get older. Can't remember the last time something really shocked me, but I can certainly remember being frightened by Jaws when I was about 9 and Alien when I was about 12.

Also the films themselves lose impact over time. Who now for instance even as a child find the original black and white Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula films scarey. These were supposedly very frightening in their day.
