I am looking to buy an entry level bike. The requirements are decent mileage (50-60 kmpl), comfortable ride to both rider and pillion and low maintenance costs. The bike will predominantly be used for city riding with probably twice a month ride in the highways.
I have shortlisted Yamaha Gladiator, TVS Star and Honda Shine.
Of these, there has been widely positive reviews about Honda Shine - the only 'alleged' problem being the vibrations above 50 kmph speed. And the relatively thinner rear wheel makes handling a bit tricky. I guess Honda spares could cost dearer which will eventually surge my cost of ownership. TVS Star might not be powerful, yet could prove to be a good one for city riding. Has a pretty fuel efficiency. I believe maintenance costs would be affordable. Do not know about ride quality and vibrations. Yamaha Gladiator seems to have no problems whatsoever. But I bother about the paucity of service centres.

I am in a fix. Help me choose the right vehicle.

Please note: All these information were gathered after reading reviews in the internet. I haven't personally tested any of these.
