which ducati would you like ducati to bring back into production

While a new supermono would be the shit, I really would like to see a new supersport machine. Not like the last generation but something that does the generation before justice! Something using the new 1100 air cooled engine with a chassis that really works well. It would be a bike I would like to make a track bike out of. Or maybe even trick out a little and pull double duty with it. You know, track bike and something to hit my favorite back roads on.

The Paso! I'd love to see a modern version. Ducati could use a sport touring motorcycle in their line-up.

I agree with a new Supersport, it would make for a perfect track bike. I actually really liked the retro-tribute SC, especially the minimalist fairing:

Trouble is it made a useless track bike because of the crap brakes, non-adjustable primitive suspension, steel-spoked rims etc. I always thought if they fixed all that, or at least provided optons/accessories, i would have bought one as a dedicated tracker.

With the exception of the odd jap effort, Sports-tourers as a class are going the way of the dinosaur. It seems people either want a true sportbike (litre+), or a real "carry-all" tourer (Mulitistrada, Bmw's GS series etc). Sport-tourers, on the whole, were not particularly adept at either......

This concept is super sexy! Love the way the exhaust is seen running between the side & lower fairings... of course for superlight weight I'd be ok with a low/short exhaust.

Ok couldn't get image to post just google:
Ducati concept 599 Mono by Dan Anderson

EXACTLY!

How 'bout a 3-year production run of 67 (per year) 549R street-legal bikes; and 67 (total) 549RS versions to commemorate the original Supermono.

I have to say I am with all the Supermono supporters here. I do like the paso but it is no competition for the Supermono. If they make a new version I'll be one of the first to be leaving my deposit.
