Which Desktop Software?

Rogers has a download called 420_b018_multilanguage.exe which installs as BlackBerry Desktop Manager V4.2.0.14.

There's a newer download on BlackBerry.com for V4.2.1.7 Bundle 17.

Any reason why I should or shouldn't install the newer software? Not that there's anything wrong with Rogers version, but if there are new features or bug fixes it might be worth the effort.
 
No reason not to update the Desktop Manager that I can see. If it's out there it is available for download. And the Desktop Manager is not carrier specific.
