Which degree in more useful: Bachelor's in ESL or bachelors in elementary

Are you wanting to teach elementary school? If not, what how are you planning on using an ESL degree? Have you considered a double major so that you could teach elementary school and use your ESL or do something with ESL such as interpretation in an area with young children. As a teacher, I think the Elem Ed with ESL is a better route, but the double major is best.

Many teachers find that they are more marketable if they can teach more than one thing or have a specialty, such as ESL or another foreign language.

The first one sounds more useful. The second one sounds like it would only qualify you to teach elementary level, whereas the first one seems to include all levels including elementary.
