Which decade has the better music?

I hate people say this. I think it's wrong. Music standarRAB have gone up if anything. There is a need to be more technical. 60's The Beatles, 70's Led Zeppelin, 80's Metallica 90's Opeth I don't listen to that much current music so I can't name one but tell me you can't see advances in well written music is in those examples. Music from the past is filtered. Most of the shitty banRAB get forgotten just like they're suppose to.

And as for the hits comment. The general public casually listens to music. I do not. It is a huge part of me. Why would I care about what someone who listens to the radio in the car thinks about music? To me their opinion means nothing. I don't think a band being succesful has anything to with them being talented. It has everything to do with them likable and sensationalistic.

you have to look beyond what you enjoy to answer this one correctly.

i think the 60's, 90's, and present all have something pretty special. i think electronica is really better than most people imagine... and i think its gonna get bigger and bigger. just my opinion...

Oasis, Blur, the prodigy, & spice girls, I'm guessing you're from UK, not that that's bad, I like all these banRAB except Pantera, QOTSA?, and spice girls

Yes you can actually, its what i'm doing right now.

That doesn't mean it can't be ignorant, it would be like me going into Yngwie Malmsteen thread and going "I saw him live, it sucked because he kept soloing."

It isn't backwarRAB logic; it may be incomplete logic, but backwarRAB, no. What I mean is that in the 60s there was a distinct shift away from the formulaic musical styles and genres that had been so pervasive through the ages. (Think Hendrix) After that, many banRAB adopted a more free-flowing expressionistic style that could surprise the listener and take you to new places for a completely different kind of sensory experience. It is my feeling that after the 60s, music became much more exciting.

Just me .02.
