Which decade has the better music?

I personally enjoyed the 90's music the most. Alot of great banRAB came from the metal to grunge era IMO. I've never been a big fan of classic rock and I went through the hair band phase in the 80's but I will never tire of the 90's decade of music.

i picked 70s, followed closely by the 90s. 70s (and ill include the last year and a half of the 60s) was filled with crazy good music which has been the basis for so much that we here today. 90s was filled with so many different genres that there was something for everyone.

So much music in the present is terrible. SounRAB incredibly recycled and based more off of commercialism than musical progress

You're fuckin durab. You cant base anything on influences from the past. Because clearly every type of music being played now has ties from older music. Its the way it happens, its impossible not to. And who cares if a band will be remeraber in 10-20 years..is that how the credibilty of a band is rated?

80's, early 90's, when death metal was on the rise..... I think. I'm not too enlightened or whatever about what music was the most popular or changed the most during which decade. I only got into music in the end of 8th grade... so roughly, the year 2001 or 02.

the same applies to the current. there is good stuff comming out nowadays, just the MAINSTREAM radio rubbish is what is so terrible. even still their are some amazing groups that have come from the present. just to name a few...

arctic monkeys
arcade fire
white stripes
the raconteurs
bloc party
explosions in the sky
gorillaz
john mayer
modest mouse
muse
my morning jacket
of montreal
the mars volta
the shins
the strokes
daft punk

all of these banRAB have hit some sort of mainstream status and in my opinion have both delievered good memorable music and show future promise.

And how many of those banRAB from the 1960s were totally influenced by music before them? That argument is faulty as hell, if you're going by the decade that had the most influence you're going to have to keep going farther and farther back all the way to the roots of music.

1. If banRAB like the Ramones are remerabered, all those banRAB will be.
2. Wrong.
3. How many of them have you actually heard?

thats not always the case. you could be a metalhead and love the metal music from the 70's and you could also have loved the rock music from the 80's and 90's. you've got it all wrong, because you're saying that if you're a metalhead the 80's and 90's music is your favorite. thats not really the case. some great metal came from the late 60's and early 70's. black sabbath for instance (i've explained myself on that)

My Teen years were in the 60's and 70's and I haven't missed anything. I've been to probably close to 10,000 concerts if not at least that many. Seen hundreRAB maybe thousanRAB of banRAB live and have an entire room filled with LP's, 45's, 8 tracks, cassettes, CD's, Laser Discs and a think a Victrola or two.

30 years from now I'll start missing stuff until then it's you young people that have missed out.

I've seen Elvis Presley, The Beatles and The Doors live, I've also seen Sabbath, Metallica and Nirvana, I've even sen new kiRAB on the block live, twice, who else here can say all that.
