Which (current) cartoons have a "timeless" feel?

Both Family Guy and South Park will be dated, but I think South Park might age a bit better since it's generally using references to make a point about some bigger issue and thus can serve as a slightly-more-accessible time capsule whereas Family Guy will be harder to get into given that it's generally much more about the references than the point.

Timelessness is overrated. Looney Tunes and a lot of old Disney shorts were very much of their time in terms of references, attitudes, styles, etc. They're just as good today as they were then, but it's not as if you can't tell they were of then.

I think the earlier episodes of Spongebob are timeless (especially the short where Spongebob and Patrick are stuck with Sandy when she's hibernating, it gets me every time) but the later episodes will be slightly more obscure like later Tom & Jerry episodes. But only slightly.

Avatar: The Last Airbender I think also has a timeless feel and universal appeal considering the wide audience it captivated during its run. Many, many people loved this show, especially when the 2nd season began and the show really grew into itself.

I think Chowder and The Secret Saturdays on the Cartoon Network end are also fairly timeless, as they shoot for relentless entertainment and have unique visuals. Unfortunately the latter will be a cult classic like Megas XLR at best and Chowder, despite being a huge hit at first, tapered off after Cartoon Network stopped paying attention to it.

As for anime, I think that Gurren Lagann will be considered timeless, albeit to a point as it's largely a cult classic. Gundam 00 might also hold up for a long time, other than it messed up on how long the Tamil Tigers lasted.

I think Pocket Monsters has a certain timeless feel to it. The animation looks cleaner than it did back in the 90s and some of the technology has advanced somewhat (compare the bulky computers of the 90s episodes to the slim ones shown in modern-day episodes), but for the most part, the older shows don't feel too dated at all.

Also, One Piece.

As far as the more recent cartoons of today go (Western), I think that Chowder, Avatar:TLA and the Ben 10 series have a timeless feel to them, for some reason I can see myself popping in a DVD of either of those shows 10-20 years from now and not be cheesed out by something I see in an episode. As for classic cartoons, stuff like Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry and many 80's shows such as the original TMNT and The REAL Ghostbusters will always be timeless to me, those programs made me into the animation fan that I am today and kudo's will always be paid to shows such as those.

There is a ton of anime that will always be timeless as well, Dragon Ball Z will probably always be around in some form, as will countless other classic that have come and gone but continue to pave the way for the anime being produced today. It just seems like anime has an easier time finding it's spot in the hearts of it's fans than traditional western cartoons, maybe it's because there isn't as much of it out there that's coming over to the United States now, or maybe it's just me.

When I saw this question, and I know it's not current, the first show that popped into my head was Ed, Edd n Eddy. As for timeless, like everyone else, I'd say Spongebob. The series truly will last forever.

You know, I was thinking about this. Maybe with the exception of a few. Many shows, I don't see holding up so well after many years. They will really date themselves trying to be so edgy in humor and design

The Simpsons probably wont be forgotten in a very, very long time. Not after having sprouted so many popular phrases, been so influential in it's form of entertainment (and im not just talking about animated comedy here; im talking about comedy in general), and pretty much become a common point of reference to an entire generation.

I'll agree on South Park. But Family Guy is huge even among elementary school students. My stepson in nine and he's a huge Family Guy fan. And from what he tells me, Family Guy is easily one of the most popular cartoons among kids his age.

Because aside from pop culture, FG also utilizes toilet humor. And as far as I remember, kids love fart jokes. Still causes a dissonance for those too old to find farts funny and too young to get BttF references.

Aside from some of the shows already mentioned, I think Phineas and Ferb has a timeless appeal. The jokes are clever, the characters are charismatic, and while it follows a formula, it's always fun to watch the boys come up with something new. The show even sends the message "Hey everybody! Imagination is fun. Use it!" without beating you over the head with it.
