To be honest I really do dislike (or hate) life. It is (obviously) completely unfair in every way (where you were born, genetics, who you know). Right now at age 17 I'm stuck trying to decide a college major and/or what college I'd like to go to.
I don't want my life or job to be insignificant. Call me strange, but I believe the only way my life can be significant is by living for a long time or forever (immortality).
This is where I get confused on my college major. I'm interested in genetics, cyborgs, and life support machines because these have to do with enhancing the human body beyond natural means. I don't want to be an ER doctor because they only save lives temporarily.
I know that it is possible to replace every part of the body with machines, except the brain, which will eventually die. I'd like to prevent others' and my own death (permanently) via whatever way possible.
Which major goes with this idea? I assume that it will be Science-related?
***I know I contradict myself by saying I hate life and that I want to live forever. Maybe I will understand life better if i do.
