Hello~

Ok, so I'm 12 years old and a girl, my parents said they would allow me to get a cellphone 1.) i earned it 2.) they had a hard time keeping track of where I was...lol. Now, don't get the wrong picture, most of the time my parents do know where I am. It's just that I have Chinese School and it's a pain in the butt cuz my dad is always late and stuck in traffic. One time I had to stay at the school for an hour because the traffic was so bad, my dad got so worried he drove as fast as he could when the traffic let up that he got a speeding ticket. Also, another time I had my middle school orientation for new coming 6th graders, and parents weren't suppose to come. So my dad dropped me off and he had a meeting to go to. Apparantly, he forgot about me and waited at the school for 3 hours before he got out of the meeting and checked his voice mail. LOL. So, yeah, my mom and dad were fighting over his responsibilities and decided that I needed a cellphone just in case. Now remember, I know nothing about cellphones. My mom said I could get whichever one I want because money isn't an issue for us. I wanted an iPhone, but somebody said the the Blackberry is better. Is there different types of Blackberries??? My mom said something about a Nokia, what the heck is that? As you can see, I am fairly lost. Please help, and possible give me pro's and con's for the cellphone that you recommend. Personal experiences welcomed.

Thanks in advance~

What service do you have like AT&T, Sprint, T-mobile, Verizon?
The phone i recommend is a Google G1. It is like an iPhone but has a full qwerty keyboard. The Pros are full qwerty keyboard, 3G, and Wifi. The cons is that the design looks ugly (just my opinion). Blackberries are for business people who use mobile email on the road. But anyways, don't get a nokia phone i find their phones really hard to use.

If your parents have service with someone already, ask them to take you to the store! You need to see them and play with them yourself. It's very subjective!
