which cars look similar to a ford mustang 1970 ?

my dream car is a ford mustang (1970) but i am avoiding it because it has terrible miles per gallon
so i was wondering what cars look similar that anyone can suggest ? my budget is under 5000 but i could stretch up to 6000 possibly.

I dont mind buying cheap and doing some work on it. Also im open to the idea of kit cars but i havent found any that reseble a 1970 ford mustang. any help is welcome. thanks
 
im not a car person but i think a car that look similar to a Ford Mustang 1970 is a Dodge Challenger 1970 these cars are around 25,000 dollors
