Which car would handle better in the snow and is overall a better buy?

I am debating between buying a used 2004 Audi Quattro AWD and a new 2009 Toyota Yaris 2 wheel drive. Both are relatively around the same price.

Which one would handle better in the snow and ice? Which one would be a better buy?
 
Go with the new yaris. It is a front wheel drive, which can handle snow pretty well and it will have a warranty on it, whereas the audi might have been the previous owners nightmare and might be about to need a new tranny or something expensive like that
