Which car should I get?

I'm about to buy a car(because mines on it's last life, and don't feel like fixing it up anymore). Well my choices are a 1999 Chevy Trailblazer 4WD and 4 door. Or a 1998 Ford Explorer 2wd, 2 door. They both have some negatives. And if I could wait to get a different car, I would. But I really don't want to drive my current car around anymore. Well to begin they are both the same price. And between both of them I really like the exterior and the interior of the Chevy.
Negatives on the Chevy Trailblazer:
The 4WD does not work. The mechanic said that he went and tried to fix it, but he couldn't get it to work. There's a little over 140,000 miles on it. And very, very little rust. Barely can notice unless you get up close. Everything else runs great on it, and whoever owned it before kept real good care of it. It's just that if I get this one, the 4WD is just a problem for me to eventually get fixed. And even though he said that having no 4WD on the vehicle wouldn't harm anything else, I'm just unsure about that.
Negatives on the 1998 Ford Explorer:
It's small on the inside, but also I don't need a lot of room. This however has 205,000 miles on it. Not to long ago the engine was replaced, so that takes down the mileage for the engine, but not anything else...like the transmission. Either the transmission could last forever, or give up anytime. I don't know if I'm ready to take that kind of risk. Although this car also runs great also, and there's no rust, I'm worried about the transmission going bad on me. There's a lot of mileage on this car and I don't like that.

sorry it's so long, tried to hand out all the infortmation that needs to be here. :) This will also be my first car. But yes, which way would be better to go with?
that's not helping. I have the choice for him to find me another car, but as I said....i don't know how much longer mine will last, and I do have school to go to and work. And I'll be able to pay this car off in no time, so really it won't be a big deal to me if it lasts me at least a year I will be satisfied.
