I'm in a dilemma, I've got 8 hours to make up my mind cuz I have to leave in a few days and need to get the car set up for a long trip. I cant make up my mind, should I go with:
(A) a yellow 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R (cvt)
OR
(B) should I get an electric blue 2011 Nissan Versa Hatchback 1.8 SL CVT (with premium pkg)?

The SE-R has 1 previous owner, 41,610 miles, a 60,000 mile warranty which expires Jan 28 2012, its in excellent condition with the exception of rust on the frame from wisconsin winters. I can get it around 14,000 including all the fees, etc. I was able to pop the hood today, it seems to have minor rust on the metal plate covering the engine, other thank that, looks pretty clean. Driving wise, it's got character and some vrrooom vrrooom.

The Versa is brand spanking new, thus new car smell, the top of the line model, I was able to get it a couple hundred dollars below invoice price, so the final price plus tax title registration fees comes out to about 16,900... the msrp is about 18600 (minus tax title and fees) and the invoice price is about 17700 (with the premium pkg--remote keyless entry, etc). I think I've got a pretty good deal going on.

Safety-wise, I think the Sentra is safer 4-5 stars, but the Versa (3 stars) will be under warranty for 3 years/36,000 miles. Sentra = Cool, fun, banana yellow!! Versa=Security, less whining from mom, new, electric blue, has a cool dash and plus, I feel like I'm in a small SUV.

Now, the dilemma, I'm moving over 1,000 miles away from home for the next several years to a semi remote region in Florida... I don't know much about cars. Oh, yes, and importantly I'm female and in my mid 20's.

Anyway, please offer your insight on the matter, what do you think is the best choice! Thanks in advance!!
