Which car should I buy?

I have to get a new car and I trimed it down to the 2009 Honda Civic Coupe LX OR the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer ES Sport. I was personally leaning towards the lancer because I like sport cars but the Civic has better MPG and resale value and if I get the Civic I will sell it in 4-5 years while I will keep the Lancer as long as possible.
