Which car should I buy for my first car? I get my license in about 2 months. I

have 10k and like jeeps.? I get my license in about 2 months and have no idea which car to buy. I have close to 10,000 dollars and really like jeeps but i heard the insurance is too high. What are the differences between small and large cars and are jeep a good way to go for my first car? Thanks
 
Why not get a Jeep if you like them. Don't assume the insurance is too high until you find out for yourself. Shop around, get some quotes, and find out what you can afford before you make your decision. Don't rule out whatever you want until you know for sure how much it will actually cost. Even if you can't get a Jeep now, you could get one later. I know this one lady who was our school bus driver. She always advised getting a clunker for your first car because so often young people wreck their first car. On the other hand, I never wrecked my first car, but I didn't get mine until I was 20.
