which car is better : a mazda or a toyota?

I'm thinking of buying a mazda but my mother claims that they are bad cars. is that true?
Rex I was going to get the mazda 6 i touring [when i have the money lol] but she told me that they are no good!
 
They are great cars.
All Japanese cars are great car.

Toyota is a bit more reliable, while the Mazda 6 is much better looking, more powerful, quicker, handles much better, and is sportier.

Toyota's are more luxurious. Usually, older people and females drive this car.

Mazda's are reliable too. I have one with 137,000 miles.
I know a few people who have over 240,000 miles with their Mazda's.
 
Well it depends on what you are looking for in the car. Mazda has one of the safest cars, with a 4 1/2 star rating on their crash rates, but the brake down faster (Trust me i've had it happen). Toyota although it isn't as safe (it has a 4 star crash rate) it is more durable than most other cars and will last you through the years. So, i would go with toyota.
