Which car BMW or Lincoln?

I'm looking to buy a new used car and I'm looking at a '97 or '99 BMW 7-Series or a '00+ Lincoln LS I like the look of both of them and the common thing like the BMW's 280HP and the Lincolns 240HP but I don't know a lot about cars and reliability of them but both look appealing to me, any advice?
