I read "To Kill a Mockingbird" when I was 20 - the summer before I was to start law school. It was on a reading list that had been sent to me from the law school I would be attending. The reading list was entitled "Suggested Summer Reading." It is a wonderful book and not at all too hard for a 15 year old to understand.

gr8 expectations met MY expectations... no seriously, it's reallyy good!! It's very true to life and I would recommend it to any1. It's very fast-paced and interesting; I was madd when it was over. It was something anyone can relate to b/c it has something to teach to every type of person..hope this helped(:

I haven't read most of those!
But I love "catcher in the rye :) it is a really good book. So different than the normal tones and moods of books
the plot is a little etchy but I LOVE IT :)

The lord of the rings is sort of a classic.. but a little to fantasy-dramatic for me :)

To Kill a Mockingbird is a wonderful book for a 15 year old, I've never read Great Expectations, but most of Dickens is maybe a little too mature for you, as well as Picture of Dorian Gray. The Catcher in the Rye is also excellent if your parents don't mind the occasional dirty word. Try Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn if you haven't already read them; they are both hilarious.

Some books that I know of for that age are:

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Kidd Monk (you can read the book then watch the movie and compare)
Monster by Frank Perreti

I found this website that gives a list of novels for a high school. You might get some ideas off of that!
