Which BB to get the mom

God I hope I am not that blind when I get to be her age....

As it turns out I may be able to talk her into using my 8700 unless I can find a lesser phone that she can use just google maps on. I love my bb, but grimace at her having one when she won't use it really and I'll have to go over how to use it every other week.

I'd go for her taking my 8700, but I still can't afford a curve
 
The wing really isn't a bad phone. My fiance has it. The only problem is the lag on the phone, but the WM6 isn't that bad. Actually I think of switching (after my pearl loses its call logs and sms texts).

What is wrong with the Pearl, I do a hard reboot every day, sometimes twice a day. I have a lot of memory available. ( i regularly check it using the ATL R A C E). And I still lose my call logs.

I uninstalled everything that has google in its name. an IT BB Tech friend told me that google eats memory...but I had stuff on my 7105t and never had my BB lose its text and calls logs.

You said she is not too tech savy so the pearl might be a little of a pain with the sure type keyboard. I would suggest 8310 for full keyboard. Just my two cents.
 
I think the pearl would be fine, small and if you decided to get color it would be very attractive. Females love cute little cell phones.
 
no, the only curve released by tmo is the 8320 and I don't believe she would need the built-in wifi. if you got the 8310 from AT&T or an international provider, you could have it unlocked and she would be able to use it on tmobile.
