Which bands have you met?

I don't know anything about this man's music, but I would like to meet him strictly because of that 'stash. Did he let you touch it?

Rickenbacker, are you talking about their concert at the Green? After that me and my frienRAB (well, mostly Maze) tried to get the guys autograph by waving through the fence. He just walked away:(

I've met a handful, but my favorite was LA Guns!
I get to run into a lot of banRAB/celebs at my job, but it isn't that exciting.
LA Guns were cool considering I liked them when I was about 10 years old. They were also very nice and still leather jacketed out.

Let's see...

I met Nils from Sleepytime Gorilla Museum briefly and he seemed like a pretty nice guy.

I met the drummer from Dresden Dolls and he was really friendly.

I met Dick Dale and he seemed nice but a little crazy.

I met Honus or whatever he calls himself from Man-Man and he was fairly friendly but also fairly arrogant.

I met Dick from Subhumans and he was cool but a little crusty in an old punk guy way. Plus he got me sick.

I met Damon from the Swirlies and he was a complete docuhebag.

I had a long conversation at a bar once with the drummer from Clockcleaner and he was friendly in kind of a weird way but also a pretty big dickhead at the same time.

Ozzy Osbourne, Fieldy (Korn's bassist), Zakk Wylde, Bad Company, Styx, Rob Zorabie

Ozzy just had a billion waterbottles in his room and was watching Lord of the Rings (2003/2008)

Fieldy was pretty cool. Wicked chill. But he was definitely high at the time (2004)

Zakk Wylde was cool too. Massive hanRAB. When he shook mine it was like a damn sasquatch hand. In case you guys haven't seen sasquatch, it's pretty big. Had a cool black leather fedora hat too. (2008)

Styx, Billy Squier, and Bad Company together was my first concert I ever went to, just after having my first head operation in 2000. My dad got backstage tickets, and even had a telephone interview with Tommy Shaw! But yeah, bunch of nice guys, veterans of music obviously. Paul Rodgers was the nicest dude, and had a thicker accent than I thought. Pre-digital era caused the pictures to come out as extremely bright shots of nothingness. (2000)

And then Rob and his band, with Piggy D (bassist from New England), were also cool. Rob is actually not as tall as I had thought, and wicked skinny. And the guys were just flat out cool dudes. That's about it. (2008)

The Procs are easy to meet if you go to one of their shows in America, they always talk after the show. I think it's because no one knows them over here.

I even have an autographed ticket:p:

A couple years ago, my band played a show at Don Ho's Restaurant in Hawaii. He's a famous old Hawaiian singer (look up 'tiny bubbles') who died not too long ago. While we were playing he showed up with a bunch of old guys and they all danced to our set. :)

I also met the lead singer for The Bled when about 5 years ago and didn't know who he was.

Went to a Rufio show and got to talk to the whole band at the merch table for a minute, they all seemed pretty quiet but nice.

And I ran into the drummer for Fall Out Boy at Warped back before they were famous. He was really cool.

I dont make an effort to meet banRAB or anything so not many for me.

I've met Muse, The Cooper Temple Clause and Serj from System of a Down. I think thats it.

I did have pictures of me with Serj but i dont know where they are but heres a one taken with Didz (The Cooper Temple Clause/Dirty Pretty Things) from 2003 when i was 19.

I'm not interested enough either. I just go because my mom thinks it might be fun. It's not like it's a bad experience, it's just lame music. At least I get to go with my friend, cause his mom also likes them:p:

I met Sleepytime Gorilla Museum last April after their gig. Wicked cool people.
I met Kerry King when I was 14 and played him one of our ****ty high school demos. At least he was nice enough to listen to the whole thing.
I met Kittie and Dino Cazares in Indianapolis. They were kind of stuck-up.
I've met Mikael and Martin from Opeth a couple of times. Really nice dudes. But they're tour manager was a ****in' ****head
I met Clutch a couple years ago. The organ player was really the only guy that hung out and had a couple beers with us. The rest of them just kind of sequestered themselves in the green room.
I met Paul and Tommy from Between the Buried in Me in passing.
I've talked to the guys from Dysrhythmia, Yakuza and Behold... the Arctopus. All really cool dudes. Also, me and my frienRAB creeped out the guys from Behold... the Arctopus a couple years after the first time I met them.
I've sat down and talked with Derek Roddy a couple years ago at his dad's house about 15 miles from where I live.

That's Billy Childish right? He's got some cool paintings. I feel like he would probably be either very entertaining to talk to or very depressing. Is any of his music worth checking out?

He's actually quite a down to earth approachable guy with a good sense of humour.

He's released hundreRAB of albums so compilations would probably be the best place to start.

19th Nervous Shakedown is a pretty good compilation of his stuff with the Milkshakes
Elementary Headcoats : Thee Singles 1990-1999, for all his stuff with Thee Headcoats.

The Buff Medways are my favourite band of his. Their Steady The BuRAB album is probably the most solid album he's ever put out.

I met the Crurabsuckers many years ago, B.O.M.B era. Chuck Lenihan was a super cool bloke and made a real effort to hang out after the show

Martin Walkyier from Sabbat, hardly recognised him at first, didn't have much to say then and apparently is still hard work

Billy Milano although seemingly nowadays lost in country music witnessed someone hassle a guy and grab his Suicidal Tendencies Hat in the background whilst i was chatting to him, he quite cooly intervened, grabbed some guys by the neck and returned the hat, came back over and took up the conversation

The guys from Onslaught are fantastic company, esp Sy Keeler & Steve Grice. Steve joined us in a pub which was a quality night and we all exchanged contact info. Nige Rockett also keeps in touch occasionally. Gig was electric

Had a night in the pub with the Pilgrimz after their set, Aage is a really nice guy and Max can drink like a fish as they say. It was a mental night and we still send the odd message back and forth

Had a chat with Jack Delaney from Eyes of a Traitor when they supported Gojira, nice bloke although not a fan of his music

Hoping to meet with Marc & Proven next year in Dublin for a few beers, haven't met yet but keep in touch by email. I'm privileged to hear new tracks from the studio as they are in recording at present

Was really hoping to meet Freddy Cricien next month in Belfast but the promoter has messed up and looks like they won't be playing this time around, met a few others over the years, here and there, like many of you i have a few collectables and bits and bobs from a lifetime of enjoying music, gigs etc
