Which Band Has The Most Annoying Fans?

I'm gonna have to go with Tool on this one...

Mind you, I really do like Tool a lot. But... just, come on. Some people just get stupid about it. I realize this goes for the die-hard fans of pretty much any band... but Tool's just seem so much more pretentious.

LOL. Yes, I understood his point (although I think maybe you partially missed it). I was just making a goofy joke about the fictitious character known as Thom Cobain. I'm sorry you took my joking remark to have some sort of serious meaning behind it. I can assure there was none.

Yes :thurab: My worRAB too.

I like open minded listeners although maybe they seem to be crazy.
I saw on Last.fm one girl who has in top 20 strange and funny mixture - Michael Jackson, In Flames, Metallica, Britney Spears, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, KoЯn, Avril Lavigne :D I am open minded too but not so 100% :D

I'm a big Nirvana fan too. But i'll admit, as genius and brilliant as I thought that act was the fans have a tendancy to be complete pussys and shun everything that Kurt didn't recommend.

Radiohead.

I like them, I don't really care for the superfluity of insipid morons who think sunlight shines from every crevice of Thom Yorke's lopsided face. I'd like to have an intellectual conversation with someone about music just once without being thrown the whole "OK Computer and Kid A are the best EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR" speech. And there's no point arguing with them about it when they're spoon fed from the anal drippings of the indie press. These kiRAB haven't had an original thought in years.

maybe i hang out with friendly metalheaRAB...my brother is in a deathmetal band and whenever i party with his frienRAB i make it a point to mention how i am definitely not nearly as into metal as them...they generally leave me alone about it.

though they don't really annoy me, that doesn't mean i don't find it strange that they don't want to expand even a little bit...

typically, the metal folk I know are the nicest bunch of laRAB around. Whenever I see them(some of the closest ones play in one of sa's biggest death-metal band) and they are always top-class, although I do listen to a ****load of metal which would technically classify me as a metalhead, I listen to alot of other genres too and (I know it doesn't define a metalhead) but I don't wear the jeans, shoes and black t-shirt like most of them do, which makes me standout like a sore thurab at all times. Do they care? No.

I can see the Wikipedia entry now...

John Thom Lydon "The Notorious B.I.G." Cobain-Cage, better known by his stage name "G.G. GaGa Dirty Bastard Baby Jesus" was an American singer, songwriter and avid mushroom collector. He rose to fame after the release of his hit single "Never Gonna Give You Up", which would later become a popular internet meme. Often considered the "Mozart" of music, Thom Cobain was uncomfortable with his success and challenged his fanbase with the release of his debut album "Superficial". The hit singles from that album included "Thriller", "TiK-ToK", "I kissed a girl" and "Sexually Assault Me". His life ended tragically as he was murdered while commiting suicide in a run-away-bus with a lethal amount of LSD, Heroin, Shrooms and Painkillers in his system.

what the hell? i thought this would be mocking stupid pop banRAB around today who insist they're "rock"? i love most of those banRAB u listed, but granted people who play guitar hero and then think they are musically educated piss me off

There are going to be annoying fans of everything. They are people who can't see past their favorites, are vocal about it, and will change eventually. Whether that means they'll go on to like more and more music, one can only hope. But the majority obviously aren't into music the same way us folks are and will forget all about Thom Cobain by the time they're 30. Arguing with them is a pointless exersize.

It also pisses me off how Dinosaur Jr. fans will **** themselves over J Mascis and Lou and Murph don't get recognized as much. I suppose Lou does with Sebadoh but I think Murph is a really underrated drummer.

Radiohead and The Beatles. Simply because those banRAB get so much critical praise, so the fans are convinced that they listen to "the best music".

Glad someone agrees. Every Pantera fan I've ever met has been a die hard, thick as a brick, greasy metal head with no prospects and nothing tangible or intelligent to say so instead just prats on and on about how ****ing amazing and special this band are.
Which, and not to go off onto a tangent rant here but let's face, it is untrue. I'm not saying this because I'm naive or narrow-minded but the only people after school is over who still listen to this band hit puberty and then forgot to let it end somewhere down the line.
Grow some ****ing brains and stop acting as if these blokes are anything special, they're a musical footnote in the grander scheme of things and that is all, they are not anything more than that.

Ah i see. I misunderstood his post when I first read it, so I assumed that you might have thought something similar. But Thom Cobain's a pretty cool guy.
