Which Band/Artist Came Out Of Your Town?

That band......i cant remeraber the name for the life of me....they sing all the small things........hello??......anyone??.... :band:

off the top of my head the most well known i can think of is
Jimmy Eat World, Blind Melon, Meat Puppets
The most well known punk band is probably Contravene.
Ska = Kongo Shock

Slayer lives here, as well as Alice Cooper and i think Soulfly still do, not sure.

Im sure theres more, theres so many banRAB out here.

well im from australia, so we dont have alot, but we have AC/DC, midnight oil, kylie(disgrace), john butler trio, and butterfly effect (check them out, auwsem stuff)

well techically i live in london, though surprisingly their isnt too many banRAB from here at the moment- razorlight, elbow, the libertines, bloc party, athlete and ikara colt(probably many more) are all i can think of mainstream wise. a couple of banRAB that may be big, clearway and the phantoms.

Birmingham gave to the world Black Sabbath, the Moody Blues, ELO, Duran Duran, Traffic, Steve Winwood, Joan Armtrading, Ocean Colour Scene, Napalm Death, The Streets, and we were the only city in the MidlanRAB that would allow Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham into our clubs, as he was deemed too loud everywhere else. Birmingham was also where Robert Plant and Bonham got their first breaks in the music business before being introduced to Jimmy Page, and the rest of their story, is indeed, history.

There's also a great underground scene again, with the metal and pop punk stars of the future hopefully playing the pubs and clubs now. My personal favourites are Distophia who play quite a sugary punk-lite sound, and Afterburn, who rock in an AC/DC style.

bone thugs and harmony, straight from cleveland im quite proud to say...all you have to do is listen to Home or East 1999 or Cleveland is the City to hear all about it...they recently did a show at a local beach for free, which i thought was pretty cool

whether or not you like earth crisis's music, as a band , they were ****ty dudes. any band that takes the straightedge and vegan culture and turns it into violence is ****ty.

Well, lots of people from "around" my town, but actually from Virginia Beach the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Pharrell and Chad from N.E.R.D and The Neptunes

RiseAgainst, You come from DC and dont know any banRAB who originated in that area? The whole DC hardcore scene started there, man! Banned in DC, the mother f-ing Bad Brains!? Holy god, sorry I get a little carried away. Me, I'm from the middle if no where, and no one even remotely famous has stepped within 1000 km of my home. But my banRAB are here... You shall soon see...

Not that he's much of a great rapper but Pitbull is from Miami (although Dammit Man is pretty catchy), and on the brighter side Trick Daddy and the whole Slip N' Slide crew is from Miami and I'm glad they represent.
