Which Anime Character reminds you of yourself?

And this thread just makes me wonder why no one thought of this before, as most people pick a favourite character they usually will pick the one that reminds them of themselves. As for me. I just resently came across the anime character that mostly reminds me of me. And that would be Amu from Shugo Chara!

(for those of you who dont know what Shugo Chara is about, you'll have to look it up as Im pretty bad at explaining things, but it has become one of my favourite animes (thou it reminds me of sailor moon and thats probably what I dont like about it, but I looked passed that, it really is a must see thou on my lists))

Anywho the reason I chose Amu is because of her many 'masks' as I call them that she tries to cover up who she really wants to be. As most people in life its hard to actually show yourself. I know that I do put up a facade in front of other people, that I feel inscure about and so on. So yea I say Im like her. I like to be helpful but be an idc attitude, while wanting to be just a little more girly.

You know if I hadnt had seen Shugo Chara! resently I probably would have ended up giving out several different names of anime characters from different animes just to recreate myself. lol.

Well thanks for the awesome thread, Im glad I could participate.

I think I'm Tsukasa Hiiragi from Lucky Star. I'm a good-natured person but very clumsy. I'm helpful but careless like her. I'm very much like her in a lot of things. I easily get fooled and am compared to a lot of people especially with my siblings. I'm unlucky sometimes. I just don't have a twin.

I am definitely a Makino Tsukushi [Hana Yori Dango]. When my friends and I watched the series, they looked from the screen, then back to me, then told me I have a twin in J-Dramaland. X3 Makino is tough, but affectionate.

I wish I had her addorable little brother though....or fine F4.

I'll take the F4 >.>

I think a lot of people honestly confuse their favorite characters with the ones most like themselves. The see someone they like and they identify with them, not everyone can or wants to take a good hard look at themselves in certain ways.

For instance my own chosen character Kouji Aiba from Infinite Ryvius: He's not the most handsome, capable or intelligent character in the show. He started out as a somewhat wimpy teen who was in a difficult relationship with his more capable younger brother. He spent the majority of the show trying to do something but more often than not he failed and wound up alienating those who were his friends at the beginning.

However that wasn't all there was to the character. He was loyal, willing to put others in need ahead of himself and eventually found his worth as a person. His entire story felt like it mimicked my own at that same age and it was something I really connected with...

Now was he my favorite character? No.

To know who my favorite anime character is all you need to do is check my avatar/sig...
