Which android phone should i get

I have a problem choosing which android phone i should get for tmobile, I am not getting it with a contract. The phones i have in mind that are affordable are the mytouch(w/ 3.5mm), motorola cliq, motorola cliq xt, or samsung behold 2. I heard all of these phones might get android 2.1 but not sure. I want to know which is better and why?
 
if you want one like right now for cheap, i'd go with the mytouch. it has slightly worse specs, but if you're gonna be into rooting and hacking it up, then mytouch is the way to go. if you wanna hold out and get a higher end device, there's the nexus one and mytouch slide coming out soon.
 
T-Mobile is supposed to get the Samsung Galaxy S, which is an awesome phone.

i might go with the motorola cliq because it has a full keyboard, but also because i heard its getting 2.1 during Q2, but does anyone know how to activate an android phone over wifi?
