Which amp is better for two 12 inch Kicker L5's?

I am getting two 12 inch kicker L5's. I am either going to get the Hifonics BXI1610D which is 1600 watts or the Hifonics BXI1210D which is 1200 watts. Both are able to perform at 1 ohm. So, my question is, first, which one would be better to power these two? And would i have to get the dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm? Thanks for the help.
So then what would be the best matchup? which amp and the 2 or 4?
 
The BXI1610D is a little too much power for them at 1 ohm. Go with the BXI1210D - should power them fine.

Get the dual 4 ohm subs - wire them parallel-parallel to the amp, you'll be set.
 
go with the 1600 watt hifonics because you can turn down the gain if needed...if you buy the 1200 you may have to have it turned all the way up on gain to equal what the 1600 would do at say half gain....go with the 1600
