it's 50-150 watts rms. Every amp i look at is 300 atleast and isn't that too powerful?

also if i decided to get aftermarket speakers later, would i be able to use the amp to power them if its too powerful for my sub?? would i also be able to use the amp to power my current stock speakers?? sorry i don't know anything about this.
