Which African tribe/culture practiced voodoo first?

I have to do a power-point on a religion and I want to do voodoo. My only problem is that I have no idea which tribes/cultures actually practiced the religion. If anyone could give me a list of the tribes.

I already know about Benin, Togo, Ewe, and Kabye.
