I live on the gulf coast of Alabama ,in the country, not far from Gulf Shores/Orange Beach AL (home to hurricne IVAN :p )

Starrdust, I grew up in Iowa, and I miss the snow also. It's beautiful, especially when it's fresh. Of course six months of snow is a bit much, but so is NINE months of summer! LOL

Hugs,
tk

Michigan isn't THAT bad to live in- of course this is my first winter here so I'm still getting used to it! One of my frienRAB was stuck in the traffic behind that 200 car pile-up last week. She sat in the same spot for hours before they got around to rerouting people around that mess. Uggh!

Oh, Memaw-
Be glad that you're able to stay there. Chesterfield is okay (it's south of Richmond) but I'd much rather be scratching a cow's nose while it's chewin' or clirabing the fence with my fishing pole over my shoulder to the pond in the field out back. Boy, THAT was livin! Green Acres? Well, maybe not quite that far out--but real close. :D

I'm from Palm City,Florida. I have 2 hurniated discs in my neck and 2 in my back. waiting on W/C to approve surgery.

There are alot of wonderful things about Michigan, same as other States, some I miss, some I don't.
I'm sorry your freind was behind that pile-up. I used to keep water, blankets, ect in the trunk, think almost everyone did or still does.

I can handle humid, did it for twenty years in MO-but it would be 99 degrees and one hundred percent humidity. That sucked, but atleast it was only like one month. Even though we don't have much humidity here, it is hot for a long time and it seems to go on forever!

Tirzah, I lived in Owego for 4 years and graduated from high school there (Owego Free Academy). Haven't lived there for 6 years, but I remeraber it well!

This was a great thread to start. By the way if anyone reaRAB this and has probs and live anywhere in metro denver from parker to greeley (or farther for that matter) the Center for Spinal Disorders is AWESOME!!!! Very kind but hard to get an apt w/the actual Dr. The PA's are completely trained and assist w/the surgery as well.

Mel, If you are going for your neck then I think it is Dr. Miles. I had a neck injury and was sent to him. It was a workers comp case so I think he was getting alot of pressure to release me back to work. He probably is the youngest doctor there.
