I live in Saint Augustine, but am from Three Oaks Michigan originally, down in the bottom left corner across from Chicago.
TXHunni, I am so sorry to hear all your Mother lost and broke her arm on top of it. These hurricanes are so lovely, arn't they? I hope she is doing alot better now.
These UFO's (unidentified FLORIDA Objects) down here, keep trying to eat or kill me again, I'll be finding me a good gurabo recipe for 'em ;)

Good question!
I am from Winnipeg, Canada. It is very cold here today -24 and with the windchill it's -42!!! When it gets this cold it very bad for my back, not to mention all the snow we have, it makes it extremly difficult to get around. Anyway I have to go to physio right now so I have to cut this short. But I think that's a great question. I always kinda wonder where people are from when we're chatting.
Take care all, Kristy. ;)

TxHunni, how long ago did you live in Michigan. I have another question for all those that live in Michigan where do go to see your doctor at or what Hospital do you go to for your surgeries (sp?). What I am looking for is some sort of support group out side of this dicussing board. Not that everyone is not great, I have learned so much from everyone here. I am just feeling little isolated, last year at this time I was working full time, granted it was with a lot of pain. Now two surgeries later I am disabled, the last surgery was 7wks ago so I am not really going out much now either with it being so cold in Michigan. What has happend is that my L5 has slipped of off of S1 or my back bone has slipped off of my plevis. I have lots of screwes, roRAB and plates in my back now to keep everything in place. Now that short story has become a long one, thanks for listening.

I felt like I was reading a chain letter while reading your locations! I'll chime in....born and raised outside of Chicago and now living in Norwich, CT. I am Navy and work on the Sub Base in New London, CT, but the main attractions here are Mystic, FoxwooRAB and Mohegan Sun Casinos, and the Pfizer R&D headquarters are here.

I just went back and ready many posts. It's nice to see so many of you with Michigan connections. We're from a suburb north of Detroit. I'm not crazy about these looooong winters, but my husband loves them. I love the short summers at my lake house sitting on my swing reading a good book, but my kiRAB love being out on our boat. Those days are gone for my daughter during her recovery (teenager with grade II spondy.)

Diann, I am in Grand RapiRAB and I had my surgery done at Spectrum Health (Butterworth Campus). My surgeon did a fabulous job, and the hospital was great too. They did a terrific job with pain management after my fusion. I was really happy with them. If you need more work done, I would definitely recommend my surgeon and Spectrum. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Oh, I am very familiar with how things go in COlurabia. One problem, not enough ortho drs and such. I know all those drs bc of my line of work, and was hoping to find a younger one with no luck. Thanks for the heaRAB up on the drs. That will help. I am healing from a fusion so there isn't much they can do for that, but I need care for my neck. I dont' remeraber which ones specialized in the neck. I am going to make an appt tomorrow. I agree with first thing in the am. I have had five surgeries with the university of mo and the worst for follow ups and appts was always ortho-I had Dr. Alander for my first back surgery, Dr. Greene did my leg. If you have any other things to pass my way regarding this stuff, let me know. My current dr says I should see a neuro (that is what he is) but there aren't any who did spine fellowships. If I do go neuro, I think I will see Dr. Oro, but just not sure yet.

we did think of San Antonio for a while, but when we saw the winters were warmer than Vegas, we were like NO WAY! :) But you never know....

I don't think I'm near Livingston, since I've never heard of it. HA. I'm in a Dallas suburb.
