Well, I am getting ready to begin school in a couple months for meteorology. I didn't do too well in high school, so I have to go to a community college for two years to get my associates degree, then I have to go to a bigger school for two more years for my bachelors in meteorology.
What I did, I have a National Weather Service about an hour from my house that I went to and talked to about what I needed to do. If you have one of those near you, you can talk to them. You can also go to a school and talk to a guidence councelor. I don't know where you stand in terms of school experience, but you can try all these out. You can also go online to weather websites, and see if they have anything. Good luck.
