Where would I find how many 1989 GMC S15 Ext. Cabs were made by GM?

Anyone having an 1988, 89 or 90 GMC S15 they are using or working on I would be happy to hear from you.
I bought my S15 new and its current true mileage is 93453, and runs great. I thinking about restoring this truck for show with the help of my 15 year old grandson.
Have any of you restored an S15?
