I'm a beginner when it comes to gardening. I own my own home and my goal this year is to embrace my yard in all aspects. Not easy when nature kinda grosses me out.
I planted a ton of bulbs in the front along with some winter plants but am wanting to do a bit in the back yard with the main goal being a veggie garden.
I have no clue what I'm doing here and could use some suggestions. I would prefer to grow everything from seed if possible. I will be buying a few potato bins from Garden Supply and will need to have raised beds. The ground here is all clay.
Things I know I can grow. Tomatoes, basil and other herbs, green peppers.
I would love to try potatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, garlic, lettuces. Really I'd love to give anything a try I just don't know where to start. Especially with the onions and garlic. I wouldn't mind doing a fruiting tree but don't know how successful that would be here. I live in the middle of NC.
Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!
