I am an amateur astronomer. quite new to the hobby. I have the equipments for a few years already, but haven't used much due to school work. I am interested in learning about optical design. I did buy a few books, and had 1 upper division course in Optics @ the Physics department. However, it is not enough. UA Tucson and U Rochester are not around where I live.
can anyone tell me how I can start learning about optical design by myself? I wanna learn about telescope, spotting scope, binoculars and eyepiece design. what book should I buy? Where do I start? Is there a curriculum to follow? Thanks.
