Where to buy phones

So, the other day someone mentioned that you can buy helio phones at FYE and get the 2 year activation price without a 2 year activation....

I was just curious if anyone knows a source where you could do the same with Verizon/Alltel?

The reason you can get away with it at FYE is that they don't activate the phones... They sell you an unactivated phone and you activate it yourself OTA...

If we could figure out somewhere that sells verizon this way, we could save MAJOR money.... Any thoughts?
 
verizon pre-paid through walmart... not quite 2 year prices, but subsidized pretty well. they have Samsung A870 (same as Siren) for 69.98 right now and v3m for 148.87 at walmart.com
 
Sprint will sell you ANY phone WITHOUT a contract at ANY Sprint store. Just tell them it's going to be a gift for an existing customer.

You're gonna pay premium for it, though. OUCH! :bulging:
 
That's what I'm hoping to avoid.. I want to find a way to get the contract price without the contract, like what was described with the Helio phones...


PS. Screw sprint... lol
