Where should I establish my business in America, if I'm moving from Argentina?

I have an increasingly successful software and machine-tool business here in Argentina, and I want to expand into the US. I am on the path to getting an investor's visa, but now I need to choose a location!

I need: An area with reasonable warehouse and lab space, an area with other tech companies (ideally), and near an international airport, and a workforce that can provide about 30 skilled and 50 support staff at first, but might triple within a couple years.

My first choice was actually Phoenix, but with their new immigration law, I think they don't like immigrants! I don't want their gestapo police to harass me because I forget my papers. So, Arizona is out.

I visited Houston and Dallas, but it's too flat, and I like mountains and climbing.

Right now I am close to choosing the Los Angeles area, perhaps in the Inland Empire, or south of San Francisco.

What are some other options?
