I would suggest a local garage, because they're more willing to service your car. Local people are always good to deal with because you can talk to them openly, without having to deal with lots of corporate rules.
If you take your car to them, they can also purchase the starter for you and just add it to the bill. So you don't have to go buy it yourself, and then pay for labor costs separately.
You can see local garages as you drive around town. Or get your Yellow Pages and look under AUTOMOBILE REPAIRS.
There are all kinds of national or regional auto parts stores to get your starter. The big names in my area might not be in your area, so it's kinda hard to give you names.
But I'd suggest you try a local car garage. You can even check with local Better Business Bureau to see if they have any complaints against them. Only problem is that the BBB won't explain what the complaints are against the business. It could be legit complaint about service, or something as stupid as not liking their sign out front.
