Where is the valet switch on a 2001 Toyota Echo sedan?

My car came with a factory installed alarm system. I bought a replacement key fob for the alarm. In order to get my car to recognize the new key fob, I need to hit the valet switch 5 times. I looked everywhere I could think of: on the dashboard, under the dashboard, inside the dashboard... I even pulled up the carpet. Where is the darn thing?
