Where is the oil filter located on a 1997 Toyota Corolla?

you can only see it from underneath at the back of the engine its the screw on thro-away type.

If it is the canister type it should be easy to find but you may have to get below the car to access it. If not then it is the replacable element type behind a circular plate with a hexagon head on it to alow it to be screwed off. In both cases it will be on or vey close to the engine block.
