I need to know where to connect the hose to charge up my air conditioner on 1986 ford f150 with 351w. Where is the low pressure side at to connect the fitting.? I still have old system. any diagrams or fotos?

I'm guessing your system some what works it should be the cold side. If it doesn't work at all buy a repair book they're around 20 bucks. If you put it into the wrong side really bad things will happen. I dont think i would trust anyone on the web.
Just a tip you need r12 in that system or you need to convert. If you try using other gas its not going to work out well.

Listen to the guy below go ahead and put in r-134a in and when your seals go out maybe he will pay for them.

on the passenger side of the truck it is fitting mounted on the side of the reciever (large canister close to the air box)
you will have to buy the adapter kit and use the fitting with the blue cap. (it will screw right on to the old fitting). you will need 3-4 cans of r-134a
many people say you have to change other parts and have the system evacuated but i dissagree.
i have succesfully converted several cars/trucks to r-134a using nothing more than the new low side fitting.
