Where is the Keypad Lock on the N72??

I recently got the N72 and I can't seem to find the Keypad Lock. I was reading online somewhere that you need to download a program or something? Can someone please clarify what's going on? Is there like a button on the phone I can just press or do I need to download something? Thanks!!
 
if you tap the power key you can lock the keys from there. it is usually the left soft key and then star. once you lock from the menu, then you can push something on the keyboard and it will tell you the process to unlock, just do that backwards to lock it
 
I tried pressing whatever soft left button you mentioned, then star. It didnt do anything. The buttons on the left are the (i think) 'menu' and something with a pencil icon which doesnt do anything when i pressed it. What gives? I'm so confused with this phone.... Help.
