I am trying to get my car fixed. I think it is the fuel pump. But where is it located? The problem with my car is it will run just just fine. when it is park and nuetral. But as soon as I put it into gear it will die. Need some help please.
it,s in the tank but that,s not the pump doing it. sounds more like the lock-up converter. there is a sensor that operates it, it could be bad. i changed 1 on a grand-am once that did the same thing.
The fuel pump is inside the gas tank, but that doesn't sound like it's the problem, but could be I guess. Look at the fuel filter as well. It's part of the fuel pump.
