Where is the drain plug/ tube on a 2003 Harley Davidson softail standard for

There are two, one one the left of motor down on right side of primary cover( not much oil will come out). The second one is a drain hose coming off oil tank on right side of bike, just in front of the swing arm on top side of the bottom of frame. Be sure to take off oil tank and clean with kerosene, you are to flush oil tank every other time you change the oil.

Polar bear has some of it right. You do not have to change primary oil every time you change engine oil and, unless you are using the new synthetic oil, there are 3 different kinds of oil, Engine oil, tranny oil, and primary oil. Those 3 oils can only be used in their stated component. Tranny oil in the tranny and so forth. BTW, DO NOT remove the oil tank.

Well to be fair to Gina some Harleys most certainly do have an oil pan under the transmission. But Polarbear does have it right for the Softail model. And like he said there is no crankcase drain plug on factory cases.Gina i'll give you a thumbs up for trying. You just had the wrong model Harley.
