The standard states; "The connector must be located inside the passenger cabin and within three feet of the driver and must not require any tools to be revealed." yea I know that means its in the car. But look for it just under the dash below the steering column. It will be in plain sight, you just don't see it. It took me 5mins to find on my 93, until I realized it was poking me in the temple as I was looking up into the guts of my dash.
