where is my *beepin* Security deposit??

well i get service from tmobile. pick up a 7105t + 1000 mins/unlimited bb. due to my credit "smart access", i had to put down a $250 "Security deposit" inorder to get the data plan. I was putting down 450 for everything and well, i got buyers remorse (i instead just picked up a 7100g unlocked used of ebay for cheap). I knew i didnt need to be spending this much when i just wanted to keep up on my investment portfolio. so i returned it. they tell me its all good since im well within the 15day period and they refund me for the phone and say will send me my check for the security deposite later on.

Well 3 weeks go by and im pissed off. Its rediculous, it shouldnt take this long. I call and they say i need to fax my bank statement since they had no record of it. i guess they will try anything to keep my money. Of course I come up there with my orginial reciept + refund receipt + my bank statement proving that they only refunded the phone. I mean if i didnt id be straight out of luck. they do all the paper work and fax all the info and tell me they said that ill get my check out since they got the paper work sorted out.

another 3 weeks goes by. i have still yet to see my $250. can some tmobile employees shine some light. and some sugguestions/tips on gettin me my money asap. thanks.

i mean honestly, has anyone ever gotten their rebate/security deposite back? im about to take legal action if they dont give me back my money.
 
Yeah if you want data features you have to be taken off smart access and be under the credit class that requires the $250 deposit. So did you cancel the whole account or just return the phone? Also, as far as I know, deposit amounts are refunded after 1 year of service. Did you totally cancel your line or just return the phone?
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~this happens to me with cingular. After my contract ended, I went to the same store to get my $200 deposit that I put down when I signed up. First they told me to call cingular and all that, so I did but cingular said they don't do deposit and I'm suppose to go back there and get it my self, so I did. And now they want proof, bank statement and all that bs. I faxed it to cingular and then they put a note in my account that its ok to give my deposit back. So they did gave it to me. Its bullsh#t when it comes to gettin ur deposit money. But hang in there.

so did you get your deposit back from the dealer or was it mailed?
 
Oh they mailed it to me.. but I was pissed off because of what they did and how they treated me. It really suxx and I know how you feel man.. Goodluck and I hope you got your money back.
