Mazda 3 is a great car. It's much better than a civic and way cheaper. I bought a new 2009 3i value edition a few months ago and it rocks. I would look on craigslist.com (in your local area) and check local used car lots. If you like stick shifts you should be able to drive a really good deal since everybody wants an automatic transmission.
